Tokenframe Fix

With a little elbow grease and a can-do attitude, you can install the White Walls APK directly onto any Tokenframe or Android-based hardware displays.

Add mobile app to homescreen

Open your mobile browser and visit app.whitewalls.art. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to add the app to your home screen for quick and easy access.

Follow the Steps

We'll be honest - Tokenframes are a bit finicky. We've found tons of unique edge cases during testing that may affect the success of your installation.

But don't worry - we created a simple chat bot to walk you through everything!

Connect the USB Drive

Plug the USB drive containing the APK file into the second USB port on the back of your display.

Open the USB Folder

Using the mouse, follow these steps:
  1. Move mouse all the way to the bottom of the screen, revealing the bottom navigation menu
  2. Tap the square icon to exit to the main menu
  3. Move mouse all the way to the top of the screen, revealing the top navigation menu
  4. Tap anywhere on the top navigation menu to reveal a dropdown
  5. Select your USB Device and open the file folder
You may need to complete one additional USB formatting step, which simply requires you to select the "portable storage" option.

Install the APK

Double click on the WhiteWalls_APK.apk file. It will feature an android robot icon.

This will download and install the White Walls application and open it.
If you're opening on a 16:9/9:16 standard sized Tokenframe, please flip the display into the landscape (horizontal) orientation.

Pair and Play!

Pair as you normally would to the White Walls mobile app using the 5-digit pairing code and name your display.

Do I need to connect a wallet?
The White Walls ecosystem consists of two applications. The first is a PWA (Progressive Web App) that runs on your mobile browser. By adding the website to your home screen you unlock the application without needing to download an official app from the app store. The smart TV app is available to download on your Apple TV. Linking these two apps together is where the magic begins!
How do you keep my assets secure?
The mobile app is available on any mobile device and accessed via the phone's native browser. iOS and Android are both compatible. The smart TV app is currently available only on Apple TVs, but will expand to more televisions very soon.
I don't have an Apple TV. When will I get access to White Walls?
An Apple TV is an external hardware box that can be plugged into any TV via HDMI port. The newest models cost ~$130 and they give access to standard streaming services, games, and - of course - White Walls via the App Store.
